Vidant Health
We partnered with Johnston Memorial Hospital through the largest expansion in the organization’s history. In 2010, the hospital opened a five-story patient tower that includes modern operating rooms, a 16-bed intensive care unit, and 101 patient suites. L.L. Vann worked closely with hospital officials to ensure that the infrastructure was in place to enable the hospital to utilize advanced technology to treat patients.

UNC Phys. Science Building
East Carolina University School of Dentistry is five stories with an additional basement totaling 188,337 square feet. This project involved 4160V incoming service provided and installed by L.L. Vann. This project also included daylight harvesting on floors 1-3 accompanied with dimmer controls located throughout the building. The lighting control system is able to be remotely controlled and modified through software provided by the systems integrator.

Glen Lake Office Building
The PNC Plaza, better known as the RBC Tower, is a 710,000 square foot structure located in downtown Raleigh. It is a mixed use building comprised of eleven floors of residential condominiums, eleven floors of office space and 8 floors of parking. Significant components include a 23rd floor swimming pool with terrace and gathering area, building wide fire alarm system, and a concrete encased snow melting system at the parking level.

Wake Co. Justice Building
The Wake County Justice Center is a judicial facility made up of 17 courtrooms, five story atrium and an underground tunnel connecting it to the existing Public Safety Center. In addition to the electrical portion of the project L.L. Vann was tasked with the installation of a wireless system throughout the building, robust security system and a fire alarm system with addressable point ID. Notable components include (2) 2500KW generators, ATS system, and a UPS backup system as well as over 120 miles of conduit and 600 miles of electrical wire.

Performing Arts Center
This museum was built to revolutionize the visitor experience at the state’s premier historic site, Tryon Palace in New Bern, NC. The History Center houses the museum, Pepsi family center, Riverwalk Café, and a performance hall. This 60,000 square feet LEED Silver facility was designed and built with preservation of the historic landscape in mind.
